For me, the human skeleton has become a symbol of the intricacies of the human condition. I use it as a representation of my own personal daily struggles with anxiety and depression. While skeletons are inherently human-we all have bones- and are universally relatable without discriminating by age, gender, or race, there is an otherworldly and eerie feel to them which perfectly captures how we as a society feel about and treat mental health disorders and neurodivergent tendencies.
